About this trip
Jaisalmer is the trip for a group that wants the desert experience done properly: camel or jeep safari into the Sam sand dunes, a night at a desert camp, and the golden fort's narrow lanes to explore during the day.
It's a further drive from Jaipur than Udaipur, so we usually suggest combining the two if your group has 5 or more days to spend in Rajasthan.
How to reach: About 5 to 6 hours by road from Jodhpur, or a longer drive direct from Jaipur. Overnight trains from Jaipur and Delhi also run to Jaisalmer.
