Activities we build into your itinerary
River rafting, paragliding, treks, desert camps, water sports. We coordinate the operator, timing and safety basics as part of your trip plan, not as a separate booking you have to chase.
September to November, March to JuneRiver rafting in Rishikesh
Grade I to III rapids on the Ganga, no experience needed
Rishikesh is India's best-known river rafting stretch, with runs typically starting around Brahmpuri, Shivpuri or Marine Drive depending on how long a run your group wants. Rapids range from gentle grade I to a more exciting grade III, so a first-timer group and a group that's rafted before can both find a stretch that fits.
We book this through licensed local rafting operators and build it into your Rishikesh itinerary alongside your stay and transport, so it's one coordinated plan rather than a separate booking you have to chase down yourself.
- Life jackets and helmets are provided by the rafting operator and are compulsory
- Best season is September to November and March to June, when water levels suit rafting
- Not recommended during monsoon months when the river runs too high
October to June (Bir Billing), seasonal at Solang ValleyParagliding in Bir Billing
One of the world's recognised paragliding sites, in Himachal
Bir Billing, a couple of hours from Dharamshala, is where a lot of India's serious paragliding happens, tandem flights included, so you don't need any prior experience. Solang Valley near Manali runs shorter tandem flights too, when weather and season allow, and is the easier add-on if your main trip is already Manali-based.
We coordinate tandem flights with certified local operators as an add-on to a Himachal itinerary. Timing depends heavily on weather on the day, operators will call it off rather than fly in unsafe conditions, and we'll tell you that honestly upfront rather than promise a guaranteed flight.
- Tandem flights (with a certified pilot) require no prior experience
- Best season for Bir Billing is October to June
- Solang Valley paragliding is more seasonal and weather-dependent
March to June, September to NovemberHimalayan treks
From an easy day hike to a proper multi-day trek
Himachal has trekking for every fitness level. Kheerganga, out of Kasol, is the most popular day-or-overnight trek for groups new to trekking. Triund, near McLeod Ganj, is a similarly approachable overnight trek with strong Dhauladhar range views. For groups wanting more, routes around Tirthan Valley and further into Spiti go multi-day.
We build trekking days into a Himachal itinerary with local guides where needed, and we'll be upfront about which treks suit a casual group versus which need real fitness and planning.
- Kheerganga and Triund are approachable for reasonably fit beginners
- Carry warm layers even in summer, mountain weather changes fast
- Local guides are recommended and arranged for anything beyond a well-marked day trail
October to FebruaryDesert camping and safari in Jaisalmer
Camel or jeep safari into the Sam dunes, then a night under the stars
The Sam sand dunes outside Jaisalmer are the classic Rajasthan desert experience: a camel or jeep safari into the dunes for sunset, then a desert camp for the night with a Rajasthani folk performance and dinner around a bonfire.
This is one of the most requested add-ons on any Jaisalmer itinerary and we build it in as standard for most Jaisalmer trips rather than treating it as an optional extra, since it's genuinely the highlight for most first-time visitors.
- Both camel and jeep safari options are available, jeep covers more ground faster
- October to February is far more comfortable than the peak summer heat
- Desert camps range from basic to more premium tented stays depending on budget
November to MayWater sports in Goa
Jet ski, parasailing, banana boat and the rest of the beach lineup
Calangute and Baga are the main water sports hubs in North Goa, with jet skiing, parasailing, banana boat rides and similar activities run by licensed local operators on the beach. It's usually a same-day, no-advance-booking activity, but we can pre-arrange it as part of a group itinerary so your group isn't negotiating individually on the sand.
- Activities run through licensed operators stationed on the beach, prices are usually posted
- Best done in the morning before the wind picks up in the afternoon
- Not all activities run during monsoon season (June to September)
September to MarchBackwater houseboat cruise, Kerala
A night on the Alleppey backwaters, one of Kerala's must-do experiences
An overnight stay on a traditional Kerala houseboat, cruising the Alleppey backwaters with meals cooked on board, is the single most requested part of any Kerala itinerary. Houseboats range from simple to premium air-conditioned options depending on your group's budget.
- Houseboats typically cruise in the afternoon and anchor for the night, rather than travelling overnight
- Meals are usually included and cooked fresh on board by the houseboat crew
- Book your travel dates outside peak monsoon (June to August) for the smoothest cruising
