Wildlife and safari trips in India
In 30 seconds
- Best odds
- April to June, when animals come to water
- Minimum safaris
- Two, ideally three
- Best for rhinos
- Kaziranga, sightings are near certain
- Closest to Delhi
- Jim Corbett, about 6 hours
The difference between a good safari trip and a disappointing one is almost entirely booking: which park, which zone, which month, and how many safaris you commit to.
We book permits ahead, put you in the zones with the better records, and tell you honestly what the odds are rather than promising a tiger.
Where this works best
Questions people actually ask
No, and nobody honest will promise it. Ranthambore and Corbett have good records, and April to June gives the best odds. Kaziranga is different: rhino sightings there are close to certain.
Core zone permits open months ahead and the best zones sell out first. Send us your dates early and we will hold what is available.
