How many seater Tempo Traveller do you actually need
The basic sizing logic
Tempo Travellers commonly come in 9, 12, 17 and 20 seater configurations. As a rule of thumb, book for your actual headcount plus a little buffer for luggage-heavy trips, not the maximum rated seating, since comfortable capacity is usually a few seats below the official seat count once luggage is factored in.
9 to 12 seater
Good for a tight friend group of 6 to 10 people, giving everyone room to stretch out along with luggage space.
17 seater
The most common choice for college and friend groups between 12 and 16 people, balancing cost per head with comfort.
Larger groups
Above 20 people, we usually move to either two Tempo Travellers travelling together or a mini coach, depending on the route and budget. We'll walk you through the trade-off when you tell us your exact group size.
