About this trip
Jaipur is where Gozy Trips is based, so this is the one destination where we are talking about our own city. It is also the most efficient introduction to Rajasthan: forts, a walkable old city and good food, all within a compact area.
Two days covers the headline sights properly. A third lets you slow down for the stepwell at Panna Meena, the Chandlai lake birds in winter, or simply the markets.
How to reach: Well connected by rail and road from Delhi, and by air from most metros. Being our base city, we can also arrange airport pickups and day cabs at short notice.
When not to go: April to June, when daytime temperatures make fort visits hard
Trip highlights
- Amber Fort, best early morning or late afternoon
- Hawa Mahal and the pink old city bazaars
- City Palace and Jantar Mantar
- Nahargarh fort for sunset over the city
- Panna Meena ka Kund stepwell, quieter than the forts
