Himalayan treks
From an easy day hike to a proper multi-day trek
- Where
- Kasol, Dharamshala & McLeod Ganj, Chopta & Tungnath, Jibhi & Tirthan Valley
- Best time
- March to June, September to November
- Suits
- Friend groups, college batches, fitness-focused couples
Himachal and Uttarakhand have trekking for every fitness level. Kheerganga, out of Kasol, is the most popular overnight trek for groups new to trekking. Triund, near McLeod Ganj, is a similarly approachable overnight trek with strong Dhauladhar range views, and Chopta to Tungnath is a short climb to the world's highest Shiva temple. For groups wanting more, there are multi-day routes in our trek library.
We build trekking days into the itinerary with local guides where needed, and we'll be upfront about which treks suit a casual group versus which need real fitness and planning.
Good to know
- Kheerganga, Triund and Tungnath are approachable for reasonably fit beginners
- Carry warm layers even in summer, mountain weather changes fast
- Local guides are recommended and arranged for anything beyond a well-marked day trail
- Multi-day treks need advance planning for permits and stays, tell us early if you want one
For groups
- Match the trek to the least fit person in the group, not the fittest
- Overnight treks need camping or a basic stay at the top; book it with the guide
- Start early, afternoon weather in the mountains turns quickly
- See every trek's altitude and season in the Gozy trek library
How we arrange it
We book himalayan treks through licensed local operators and build it into your trip with the stay and transport. The activity shows as its own line in your written quote, so you see exactly what it costs per person.
- Itemised quoteEvery quote is itemised: the hotel and room type for each night, the vehicle, and which meals are included, so you can compare it line by line.
- Second opinion on any quoteAlready have a quote from another agency? Send it and we will tell you honestly whether we can do the same trip for less. If we cannot, we will say so.
